J Swap Contractors Ltd’s heavy transport fleet carries the company’s distinctive brand far and wide.
But this fleet of trucks and tractor units, and several trailers, is not there for show. J Swap’s transport division is a round the clock operation, with its dispatchers at the company’s Matamata base and depots at key locations in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty.
Powerful, modern bulk transport truck and trailer units form the core of the fleet. J Swap has negotiated bulk contracts for external customers – carrying anything from grain and fertiliser to coal - and the fleet also services the company’s quarries and contracting requirements. This combination of work involving the various J Swap operations means that the transport division can offer a continuous and efficient backload service to clients. J Swap also has the ability to bring in other transport fleets as required.
In addition to the bulk truck and trailer units, J Swap Contractors Ltd has specialised heavy transport equipment. These include bulk road metal spreaders and heavy transporters to carry contracting and forestry machinery for the company and its clients.
J Swap trucks each regularly travel over 200,000 kilometres a year, and the company is committed to a fleet replacement programme. The safety of its drivers and other road users is of key importance to Swap – the Health and Safety Procedures Manual is regularly updated, and it is part of ongoing staff training.
J Swap has the advantage of a skilled and dedicated group of drivers – drivers who enjoy their work and go the extra mile to ensure customers’ requirements are met.
This transport fleet is backed and maintained by J Swap’s substantial workshop in Matamata, staffed by highly qualified mechanics. This workshop has the ability to carry out anything from a regular service to a full overhaul. It has excellent parts backup, along with mobile service vehicles to ensure that J Swap Contractors’ transport fleet can run 24 hours a day, seven days a week with minimal disruption. |
